Here we will try to answer some of your most commonly asked questions.  Please let us know if there is anything we can put up here to help others

Q. Why is there a 2 tier system for Big Top Tickets and is there a priority ?
A.  We have two ways of getting in to the concerts. One is by using the season ticket. That's a Full, Day or relevant evening ticket. This is limited by space in the venue but we can house more than 300 people with this type of ticket.
The other is a "one off" event ticket, sold in advance and guarantees entry to the event. No guarantee is given to provide a seat in this venue as we allow a number of standing spaces These tickets are priced at just £12 each for 2017. There is no priority as all ticket holders go into the event at the same time.

Q. Is anyone paid to run the festival?
A.  No. We are an entirely volunteer run festival and has been for 46 years.


Q. What's the cheapest way to get to the festival?
A. Have you tried "liftshare". Go to the festival website front scree and click ion the liftshare ad and see how you can team up with your mates or even make a new friend and save money at the same time


Q. How can I be more "Green" at the festival?
A. We provide a recycling system in conjunction with  M J Church Ltd and we'd love to see maximum use of this facility.

Q. Is there  WiFi on the camp sites
A. Sadly No, but there is reasonable WiFi in the high street all the way from the Cause to the Railway arches. Just look for Chippenham Connected and follow the instructions. And it's free!

Q. Is there a hook up on the caravan site? 
A. Sadly not at this time. It is a public park which makes it difficult. One day maybe ......

Q. Are there any pitfalls to parking in Chippenham.
A. Yes. Parking in the Angel Hotel is now seriously restricted to people staying at the hotel and authorised visitors etc. If you need to use this park please ensure you log in to the reception or Parking Eye will happily send you a bill for £100.
Also watch out for the closure of the Emery Gate car park at 8.00pm.  We try to get it extended but are not always successful. Your car will be locked in when it closes with a hefty release fee.

Q. Are the rail services better this year?
A. We have been informed that the line is closed between Swindon and Bath for essential works Great timing guys!. However we are also informed that a linked bus service will operate. Check our British rail for updates

Q. When is Chez Nous coming back.?
A. We have not been able to find a good replacement for this popular food supplier but we are supplementing the current range with a veggie option and a local restaurant bringing some Caribbean flavours to the festival.

Q. When will the programme be ready?
A. It takes quite a while to put together a 200 event programme in our spare time but we aim to get the main listing ready early in May and the final programme a couple of weeks prior to the weekend. (We can always hope!)
